Purpose: The primary purpose of the clear vinyl film is to prevent damage to the vehicle’s paintwork caused by debris, scratches, or surface dirt during the installation or removal of roof signs. Material: The film is made from transparent, self-adhesive vinyl. Application: It is typically applied directly to the roof area where the roof sign or top hood will be placed. The film acts as a protective barrier, shielding the paint from potential harm. Size: Available in several sizes to suit all of our Taxi and Driving School Signs Usage Scenarios: Driving Instructors: Driving schools often use this film to protect their vehicles’ roofs from wear and tear due to frequent roof sign installations. Taxi Companies: Taxi operators can benefit from this film to maintain their fleet’s appearance while using roof signs. Takeaway Vehicles: Delivery vehicles with roof signs (such as pizza delivery cars) can also use this film to preserve their paintwork. Remember that the clear vinyl film provides an extra layer of protection, ensuring that your vehicle’s roof remains in good condition even with regular roof sign usage Vinyl Application Instructions 1. Prepare the Surface: Clean the area where you’ll apply the vinyl. Remove any dirt, dust, or debris. Make sure the surface is dry before proceeding. 2. Gather Your Materials: Vinyl decal Soapy water solution (mix water with a few drops of mild dish soap) Plastic squeegee or a similar tool Lint-free cloth or paper towels 3. Position the Vinyl: Peel off the backing paper from the vinyl decal. Spray the surface with the soapy water solution. Place the vinyl on the wet surface, adhesive side down. The soapy water will allow you to adjust the position. 4. Smooth Out Bubbles: Use the plastic squeegee (or a similar tool) to press the vinyl onto the surface. Start from the centre and work your way outward. Push out any air bubbles by sliding the squeegee over the vinyl. 5. Remove Excess Water: Use the squeegee to remove excess water and air from under the vinyl. Continue until the entire decal is securely in place. 6. Let It Dry: Allow 24hours for the vinyl to dry completely before use. Avoid touching or disturbing the decal during this time. 7. Remove Application Tape (if present): Some vinyl decals come with application tape. If your vinyl has application tape applied, carefully peel off the application tape, leaving the vinyl in place. Remember to take your time and work patiently. Applying vinyl with soapy water helps prevent wrinkles and ensures a smooth finish. Enjoy your newly applied decal!
