After 1 year of owning these hooded towels I can say there were entirely worth it!I bought these on a whim knowing babies don’t really need their own towels- I have towels at home. But alas I wanted something functional that was somewhat natural. Cotton was a must. These towels never shed but I do wash them with other bath sheets, towels, and washcloths so they got a bit fuzzy from the fibres rubbing together over the last 12 months. I have zero qualms about their appearance! Let me give a better breakdown of why these towels are still a must have after a year..-Soft & Gentle All Cotton FabricThe towels are made of high-quality muslin fabric, which is incredibly soft and gentle on a baby’s delicate skin. After several washes, they maintain their softness(do NOT use softener or you’ll lose absorbency and some of the fun wrinkles), making them perfect for wrapping up a little one after their bath.-Highly AbsorbentThese towels are very absorbent, quickly soaking up water without leaving moisture behind. This is especially helpful when you’re drying off a newborn or squirmy crawler after a bath. I have had zero issues letting these towels air dry after drying off baby & using them again after fully dried off. We have used them to towel off after playing in the splash pool and the sprinkler.-Breathable & LightweightThe muslin material is lightweight and breathable, making these towels suitable for all seasons. It gets very humid in spring and early summer around us. It’s to the point that the air outside is misty & foggy. Sometimes we sit baby on one of these towels under his toy gym instead of the floor. They’re just versatile for everything! They don’t feel heavy or too thick where water might stay in the inner layers. That is a big plus for keeping your baby comfortable and manage an element of sustainability.-DurabilityDespite their softness, these towels are surprisingly durable. The sheer amount of times they both have been washed at least 100 times. They’re colour has stayed soft and true to how they looked at the time of purchasing. Somehow with all that washing they’re still square! The edges are well bound and we have zero frays or broken threads. The hood is even fantastic for our big headed baby(not that we’re out of any wild dome size percentages, just in comparison to newborns They are truly a long-term use baby product that can grow with them, they can learn to use & feel independent, all without sacrificing quality.-Two Towels & DesignThe towels feature a charming, minimal, and neutral design that’s both clean and stylish. They add a nice aesthetic touch to your baby’s essentials without being overly bold or garish. I love that they came in a two pack as well- I specifically went sourcing for a order of multiples. Who buys just one towel? You always need at least one spare that is clean and waiting. Babies are so messy. They drool, we buy 20 bibs; They throw food, we need wipes or washcloths; They get all kinds of things on their clothes, we need at least 10 tops.. it’s the rule of babies to have extras for the inevitable!Overall they were a fantastic value in comparison to the smaller ones at Target, Walmart was non-existent in stores, and the baby boutiques nearby wanted 40.00-60.00 a piece for their muslin towels. I would bet *these* are the towels they are selling and upcharging. It’s a great bet to buy these towels because the value has far exceeded the use and time we’ve had them!
