I’ve been on the hunt for the perfect diaper bag for sometime. Currently expecting #2 and was set on wanting a bookbag type bag this time around. After going thru several types of diaper bags with my daughter, we eventually landed on a bookbag type that worked for us. After searching and scouring everywhere, I read through ALL the reviews for this particular bag, another bumbleroo and a few others that were very similar in style (Diklason, Rivalino maybe not the correct spelling??) but the differences were in the details for me. I picked this one for a few reasons but a big reason for me choosing this particular style from this brand was I haven’t seen many (if a handful at all) of bookbag style bags that don’t have the double oversize straps at the top for stroller hooks. This particular style bag from this brand has one single strap (normal sized) and it can still attach to the stroller hooks from the clips sewn onto the back straps. This particular bag looks, feels and fits more like an actual bookbag than other brand I’ve found, which is what I was searching for.Perfect amount and well thoughtout/placed number of pockets-inside and out, a decent number of insulated pockets for bottles (5 insulated spots total and all are large enough to fit more than a small 4oz size bottle), I loved the mommy pocket on the front and the hidden pocket underneath. The key clip was a nice touch as well bc who wants to dig for keys with a baby in tow. The inside is roomy still has a few pockets tucked away so little things don’t get lost in the mix.The color and material are great as well and it feels like it will hold up for a good while. I was torn between the olive/army green and the black so I ordered black and while it’s not jet black it is exactly what I wanted (looks a little faded or denim blackish color, which I prefered). The straps are thick and padded well, the back feels breathable so far and the bottom feels sturdy enough that it won’t rip the second it drags across a rough surface. I have packed it already and while it does hold a ton, I’m a heavy packer so I could have went with a larger size and still not had enough room for everything and the kitchen sink that I typically pack. I haven’t actually had to use it yet as I’m not due for a few more weeks so I can’t speak on really using it yet but I’m thinking it will last longer than some other brands out there. And of course my hubby is happy that it’s neutral and doesn’t scream diaper bag in any way at all. I’m hopeful that this bag will accommodate myself, the endless contents of my normal purse and 2 kiddos long after baby has outgrown the “diaperbag” stage. Also worth mentioning, it came with a decent changing pad and a paci holder that both seem well made to be considered “extras”. I’ve had several bags that came with the little extras like this but they were cheap and flimsy and not worth being considered extras.Everything from the zippers to the material, to the placement of pockets and the little details on this bag seems well made, sturdy, very thought-out and functional. 5 stars!
