This style of amulet first appeared in the Sukhothai period, a period of innovation in Buddhist art and iconography that came with the popularity of Theravada Buddhism which also strongly influenced other Thai periods.Today this is known as Pra Leela. The standing Buddha wears his robe covering both shoulders. The garment is thin revealing the body underneath. he also wears a thin under cloth, a reminder of the Gupta and post-Gupta styles of Indian art. The reverse of the amulet features a sacred Yant and the surname of Luang Phor Tae, Klong Thom and is made primarily of Neua Pong Pasom Wahn or sacred and auspicious herbs giving it its unique colour Additional information Monk LP Tae Temple Wat Sam Ngam
