Our interpretation Gwaihir from Tolkien’s Middle-earth mythology (influenced by Norse lore), Gwaihir was the Lord of the Wind and the greatest of all birds. With magnificent detailed plumage and attention to detail and hooked beak a formidable weapon in his armoury, his eye glinting and steadfast nothing escapes his gaze. Another piece expertly fashioned in English pewter with love and care of the craftsman’s hand. The badge is 30mm tall and fastens with 2 pins and ‘Butterfly’ clips on the reverse.
